The plywood ends will probably fail first. But by then I’ll have had time to build replacements.

And yeah, we get enough for basil. Most herbs really, since you don’t want them flowering. Had a good few basil plants last year, but snails ruined them in the end.

Different brands, different longevity for outside work and I don’t know about stainless in your neck of the woods but geeeez they can be expensive. For fast and hard, backed up by screws, it doesn’t matter so much. If you do want something to last however it makes a big difference. Watch out for treated timber in particular, some of the treatments eat the metal if the wrong type, faster than you would think. Good use for offcuts! You get enough sun for basil?
